After a quick image search on Google (thanks, Internet!), I learned that a Reading Pillow, sometimes called a Book Pillow or a Pocket Pillow, is a large pillow with a pocket sewn into it, intended to be used for - wait for it - snuggling and reading!

Why Is It Called a Husband Pillow? The pregnant and breastfeeding often find the lumbar support offered by the husband pillow helpful. It can also be comforting and—however vaguely—not unlike the feeling of resting against the chest of a husband. This is likely how the informal name for it came to be.

Reading in bed, with several pillows propped behind you can cause neck strain, with your neck pushing forward and holding your arms out to support your book or tablet.
